| The audio sounds like an off-the-air loop meant for another channel (cinemagic?), and says it will return on 1/1/09. The text says that it's off-the-air until 10:00 pm eastern. Any clue what happened? |

mine says programming returns at 10 pm EST
this happened the other day, with a different return time , think it was 1 AM est
I believe it happened during Mark Levin show both times ?
I used to have Sirius and I dont think they carried Levins show on
The Patriot channel, maybe its a contract issue? |

I'm guessing it's temporary...but wondering if it's intentional or accidental. Since the audio message doesn't match the text, I was wondering if someone pressed the wrong series of buttons at operations. |

Probably a sports pre-emption. NBA + NHL means more weeknight games during the winter.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention...I called, and the idiot CS guy didn't have a clue. First, no clue that 166 was a channel. Asked the name of it, I said "America Right", and he says "Oh, America is on channel 10". Told him he had no clue WTF he was talking about, that I wasn't looking for a country music channel.
He couldn't find anything about it, had no clue, was totally useless.
He took a report so he could escalate it, and refreshed my signal. What a moron. I guess when you farm off first level CS to India, you get what you pay for. |

More lack of communication with the customers. 166 says return at 10 pm EST and 167 says return at 11 pm EST. I don't ever remember being knocked off the air for sports on a weekday evening. I'm not a happy camper. XM is pushing me away.

| it's most likely a sports preemption. unlike sirius' network, which has to take over the talk channel to broadcast the game, xm's are designed to switch the channel being taken over to the "This channel is off the air" message and then enable the game on a different channel. |

I was on hold with them while I read your last post
I actually got thru and he said they are aware of it, and that they have gotten a bunch of calls on it, he said its a temp issue that they are working on it...... |

just noticed 167 as well, I did check it before and it was still on air
same thing happened the other day ,think it was Fri
same time as today 3pm pacific 166 went off then 4pm 167 went off |

Thanks RG570. I'm not sure where I was on Fri that I missed it. I hope it is a temporary snafu. I just shot off an email.
