Someone's gotta give Dave Grohl some props. For my money he made Nevermind truly great. Not to mention the last Queens of the Stone Age record....and Tenacious D! _________________ Up with Ethel! |

I have to go with Stewart Copeland of the Police. He really had a unique sound with the high pitched drums. I don't know how hard the stuff he played is to learn but it sure sounded complex and very cool. Keith Moon was a maniac on the drums. I don't think they could teach what he did. |

I take it we're supposed to name somebody who hasn't been mentioned yet?
Moe Tucker (Velvet Underground). Best female drummer by far, and that's not meant in a patronizing sense. |

Yeah, I don't know if Buddy Rich can be considered "rock," but he was awesome. I loved when he and Johnny Carson (a decent drummer himself) used to jam on The Tonight Show. _________________ Classic Vinyl/Classic Rewind: Why have one great channel when you can have two crappy ones instead?

In a sence they do teach what Keith Moon did, it's called "pharmacology". _________________ I believe we are on an irreversible trend toward more freedom and democracy - but that could change.
